Дифференциация демографических процессов на российском Севере по типам поселений

Для российского Севера сохранение существующей сети городских и сельских поселений — вопрос геополитической важности, поскольку густота системы расселения влияет на связность территории, защиту северных границ от внешних притязаний, повышение обороноспособности страны. От размера поселения зависит его возможность оказания населению медицинских и образовательных услуг. Распространена точка зрения о неперспективности демографического развития большинства северных поселений. Ставиться цель раскрыть демографический потенциал городских и сельских поселений, демонстрирующих разную демографическую динамику, показать ее зависимость от численности населения. Для этого в статье раскрывается характер воспроизводства населения (рождаемости и смертности) в городских и муниципальных округах, городских и сельских поселениях разного размера. Выдвигается гипотеза, что малые поселения могут иметь преимущества по некоторым демографическим показателям. Проанализированы данные о числе родившихся и умерших за 2014–2023 гг. в разрезе 1297 муниципальных образований, всего собрано 24,5 тыс. значений показателей. Использованы методы возрастной стандартизации демографических показателей, пространственный анализ, картографические методы. Полученные результаты показали, что рождаемость почти не демонстрирует зависимость от численности населения округов и городских поселений; но чем меньше размер сельского поселения, тем выше рождаемость. Смертность по всем типам муниципальных образований продемонстрировала следующую закономерность: чем меньше численность населения, тем выше смертность. Делается вывод, что если нельзя сохранить всю существующую сеть поселений, то из всего многообразия муниципальных образований необходимо спасти те, которые демонстрируют лучшую демографическую динамику, позволяют поддержать связанность территорий и культурное многообразие, ареалы проживания коренного и старожильческого населения. В будущих исследованиях рекомендуется обратить внимание на возрастной состав населения и миграционные процессы в поселениях разного типа.
